What types of counseling and therapy do you offer?
I offer in-person and telehealth mental health therapy and counseling in the State of Alabama for Individual Adults, Couples, Families, and Groups. For a more complete description please refer to the Counseling option under Services.
How do I get started with counseling?

Getting started is simple. Click here to schedule your first appointment (either via telehealth or in person), or you can schedule a 15-minute free consultation (via telehealth only) to answer any questions you may have and walk you through the next steps.
Do you take insurance?

We are not an in-network insurance provider, but you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits for therapy. As part of the initial consultation, we will help you understand your out-of-network benefits and how to efficiently manage all claim submissions and follow-ups. We can also provide you with a form (called a Superbill) which you can submit to your insurance company manually. Once the deductible has been met, clients often receive a reimbursement of 60-90% of their session fees. A more accurate estimate can be given once we have your insurance information to calculate your benefits.
What if I have to move or cancel an appointment?

We understand that things come up, so you can cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hours notice by going to the Client Portal or calling or texting 256-348-1221.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the full cost of the appointment.
How can I contact you?

If you have other questions you can reach us via phone or email. We aim to respond quickly — usually within one business day.
However, I am not available on an emergency basis. In the event of an emergency, please call 988 or visit an emergency room of your choice.
No. While some therapists use AI in writing their session notes, I neither record sessions using any means, nor am I comfortable with allowing clients’ confidential information to be recorded or generated by AI.
Do you use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for note-taking?
