Program Description
In-person Continuing Education program on the importance of worldviews in perceiving and interpreting the world and how worldview affects relationships, emotional stability, and the therapy process.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
(1) Identify the key domains that comprise an individual's worldview and recognize their influences on the therapeutic process.
(2) Identify potential areas and impacts of counselor-client worldview similarity and dis-similarity, and explain methods for maintaining effective and ethical practices.
(3) Explain the process of significant transformation of an individual's worldview, and the common effects of transformation on emotions and behavior.
(4) Describe the role of shared reality in family and marital relationships and evaluate the impacts of worldview transformation on relationship quality.
(5) Assess a client's worldview areas for different levels of sensitivity, and manage the therapeutic approach appropriately.
TRAINING COURSE POLICIES
Refunds:
Participants who are unable to attend the program must notify the provider in writing (via email or other documented method) within the timeframe specified below to be eligible for a refund.
Cancellations received at least 14 days prior to the scheduled program date will receive a full refund, minus a non-refundable administrative fee of $20.00. Cancellations must be submitted via email to admin@praxisccc.com.
Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the program date are not eligible for a refund.
Failure to attend the program without prior notice (“no-show”) will result in forfeiture of all program fees.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 5 business days of the cancellation confirmation.
Registration Transfer
If a participant is unable to attend a session for which they have registered, the registration may be transferred to the next training opportunity with advance notice and approval by the provider. Requests must be made within 5 days prior to the session, via email to admin@praxisccc.com.
Provider Cancellation or Program Changes
In the event Praxis cancels the program due to low enrollment or emergency, technical, or weather-related issues, registrants will be able to receive a full refund of all fees paid.
Cancellations due to low enrollment will be announced no later than 7 days prior to the event. Information regarding cancellation for other reasons will be communicated to participants as soon as possible. Prior to the issuance of refunds, the provider will contact participants with information regarding future program opportunities and offer the option to transfer the registration.
Decisions regarding weather-related alterations to in-person programs will be made by the instructor. If weather conditions necessitate cancellation of the in-person event, an attempt will be made to offer the course as scheduled via the online format. Participants who do not choose this option will be offered the opportunity to transfer the registration, and will be given a full refund if requested by email to admin@praxisccc.com. In the event of cancellations, the provider is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants (e.g., travel, lodging).
Participant Complaints
Participants may submit written complaints regarding any continuing education program to admin@praxisccc.com. Complaints will be acknowledged within 10 business days and reviewed fairly, with a written response provided within 30 business days. Complaints are documented, handled without retaliation, and maintained in accordance with approval requirements.
